ma'i'tsoh

The wolf: a wild animal, which doesn’t find any space in our modern society, because nature and natural habitat are more and more destroyed. As leader of the hunting animals, the wolf is one of the most important symbols of the Native Americans and represents strength and stamina. My poster “ma’i’tsoh” (means wolf in Navajo language) is dealing with the question of identity of the Indian tribes in North America.
Besides deficient integration there are still problems like alcoholism, criminality and unemployment. In search of identity, between origins and expectations to society, the younger generation breaks up more and more with traditions, language, sayings and legends.

Poster in ambient: According to a legend, in the undertow of dancing, every dancer can transform in an animal.
